Shawn Mendes FINALLY talks his sexuality

Shawn Mendes knows that there are a lot of rumours about his sexuality.

The 20-year-old singer has had a revealing cover interview with Rolling Stone, where things got deep and personal.

In the interview, Shawn explained that people's assumptions about him being gay upsets him... quite a lot.

“In the back of my heart, I feel like I need to go be seen with someone -- like a girl -- in public, to prove to people that I’m not gay,” he explained. “Even though in my heart I know that it’s not a bad thing. There’s still a piece of me that thinks that. And I hate that side of me.

”In 2017 Shawn read comments on YouTube that assumed he was gay. At the time, he addressed the rumours on Snapchat. “I noticed a lot of people were saying I gave them a ‘gay vibe,’” he said. “First of all, I’m not gay. Second of all, it shouldn’t make a difference if I was or wasn’t.”
