One such figure, Twitch star Imane 'Pokimane' Anys, recently joined this trend by introducing Myna Snacks and their Midnight Mini Cookies. However, she swiftly encountered a backlash due to the cookies' pricing, prompting comparisons to more affordable brands.

Criticism also arose as Pokimane made jests about fans potentially being too "broke" to afford the snacks, inviting commentary from other content creators. Among them, xQc weighed in, asserting that he has faced more severe backlash for comparatively trivial matters. He highlighted an incident from early August involving a conflict with H3H3, emphasizing that despite being a millionaire, Pokimane received less criticism for publicly joking about someone being financially disadvantaged than he did for a private dispute over a watch with another affluent individual.

xQc expressed disbelief at this discrepancy during a November 22 livestream, drawing parallels between the scrutiny they both faced. Additionally, xQc himself has encountered criticism for showcasing his wealth in public tweets, notably during discussions about a watch and while reacting to the Israel-Palestine conflicts. Despite facing widespread condemnation for these tweets, the duration and intensity of backlash toward xQc did not match the ongoing controversy surrounding Pokimane's recent drama.
